Since I've always wanted to work for fashion field, I had decided to major in CDM. However, I thought that i needed to study more about consumer-oriented design elements, interaction part and various access to design so that i chose IID for my double major.
패션디자인과 마케팅 쪽에서 일하고자 하여 CDM 전공을 하였으나, 소비자 입장에서의 디자인적인 요소나 인터랙션 부분, 다양한 접근과 디자인 방법에 대한 공부가 필요하다 느껴져서 IID 복수전공을 택하게 됐습니다.

IID is a study about being realistic. Diverse courses are offered, yet it is a challenge to find what interests me. Studying about design is not new today, and there are already samples of beautiful products and layouts. Of course, making or refining a design is important in visual product consumption and is a good practice for a designer. However, when it comes to people, there should be a strict reason "why I chose this decision" in performing a process. This decision neither can be abstract nor personal―it has to be a realistic decision to meet the needs. As a student of IID, I am interested in entertainments and my goal is to give pleasure and delight to the audience; but first, I have to know what my audience is expecting. When I chose IID as my major, I try to keep three philosophies: understand what is needed; answer with realistic reason; try a new challenge or idea.

Rather than activities like managing and marketing, I prefer hands-on work, and enjoy visualizing and developing the end product. My primary interest is motion design but I enjoy creating in other design fields as well. I chose IID because I felt the major fit these interests the best out of the three TAD majors.
경영 또는 마케팅과 같은 업무보다는 직접 아이디어를 내서 디자인을 하고 결과물을 만드는 것이 재미있습니다. 주요 관심사인 영상, 편집 디자인 외에도 다른 디자인 분야에서 새로운 무언가를 창출해 내는 것이 즐겁습니다. TAD의 전공중에 IID가 관심사와 제일 맞는 것 같아서 IID로 진학했습니다.

I used to love making weird things with computer graphic. Before I get into this school, I've learned that the 'weird things' can be great contents when they are carefully collected and refined through my internet CG society activity. I chose IID to learn how to collect that 'weird things' and refine them well.
저는 컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용하여 이상한 것들을 만들어내는 것을 좋아하였습니다. 그런데 입학 전 인터넷 동호회 활동을 하며 그 이상한 것들이 잘 모이고, 조금만 더 다듬어지면 굉장한 콘텐츠들이 나올 수 있다는 것을 깨닫게 되었습니다. 저는 그 '이상한 것들'을 제대로 모으고. 다듬는 방법을 배우기 위해서 IID에 진학했습니다.

I thought IID classes help me visualize my ideas. And I wanted to do my own from planning to prototyping. Also I liked friends who declared IID major, cuz they were the one who really do the real hard work in the team when we were TAD freshman.
그냥 뭔가 저의 아이디어를 구체화 시킬 수 있을 것 같고, 기획부터 제작까지 스스로 해보고 싶은 욕심에 선택했던 것 같습니다. IID로 진학하는 친구들도 마음에 들었어요. 학부때 늘 조과제에서 열정적으로 하던 친구들이었거든요.
Currently I am interested in UX, HCI, also willing to have them as my career. I do have interest in illustrations and animation but I want to remain them as my hobby. The only interest when I was highschooler was animation but it turned out to be like this...
UX, HCI 분야에 관심이 많습니다. 직업도 그쪽으로 갖고싶구요. 일러스트나 만화, 애니메이션에도 흥미는 있지만 직업으로 가질 것 같지는 않네요...고등학교 때까지만해도 만화밖에 몰랐었는데 이렇게 바뀌네요
